Hello cruisers!
This cruise marks a new chapter for Pacific Dawn! We are launching Chapters Book Club, P&O Cruises’ first book club at sea. Passengers will be able to get together a few times each cruise to discuss books of past and present.
To celebrate Chapters, we have guest author, Tony Park, sailing on the current cruise to facilitate the sessions (from Sydney to Tonga). Tony is an Australian author who has five published books with a sixth one out in August. His latest, Silent Predator, is the focus of the book club sessions. Tony spends half the year on safari in Africa, so make sure you share a yarn or two… he has many stories to tell!
Happy Reading, see you at Chapters!

Had a great time on board Pacific Dawn and was really pleased with the turn-out for the talks and interest in the new book club.
Sorry to those people who weren’t able to get hold of “Silent Predator” (it sold out very quickly) and I hope those who did enjoy the book!
Thanks to all at P&O and to Zoltina, Carren and everyone else on board – passengers and crew – for the warm welcome.
My first time on a cruise ship and I loved it.

What a fantastic idea. I too would be interested if you knew who would be the author on board Pacific Dawn for the 11th July departure as I would also like to have read the book prior to that date. Thanks.

The book club sounds great. Would you be able to post what authors and books may be discussed in future trips. I am travelling on 2nd July on Pacific Dawn to South Pacific and if a travelling author is on board I would like to read their work to discuss with them. Thanks.

Thats great to hear about a book club
Talking of books have you un-americanized the library on board Pacific Dawn? I sailed for 16 nights last September and it was very obvious that the library stock had not changed from when the ship sailed in American waters catering to Amercian passengers as Regal Princess
I can only read so much on American Politics! The Library desperatley need ed some money spent on a good range of Australian Books for Australian passengers
